Birthday Card for a Lil One

Here's a quick and simple card I made for my cousin's little one, Logan, who turned 3 on Thanksgiving. It's so hard for me to make a card for a child now, especially for a little boy. I definitely don't have many stamps for that...guess I need to buy more! lol I used Stampin' Up! Retired Pacific Point ink and paper (Stampin' In Colors 2008-2009), as well as Zoofari, a recent Retired stamp set.

Card Size: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4

Supplies Needed:
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated!
Stamps: Zoofari (SU Retired), All Holidays
Ink: Stazon Black, Pacific Point (SU Retired)
Markers: Various colors
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Gable Green, Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point (SU Retired), Pacific Point Patterns DSP (SU Retired)
Tools: Ticket Corner Punch, 3-D Dimensionals

12 Weeks of Christmas -- Week 8, SPCC - #25 AND Mojo Monday #114

WOW! That's a lotttt to cover in once post, but I'm super excited about it! lol I'm back with another holiday card, and of course it's for my 12 Weeks of Christmas -- Week 8! (And as always, I know I'm still a behind...) I used some more heat embossing, which I am really beginning to like--A LOT!  It just makes a card look so much more elegant, errr maybe 'ritzier' I should say?! I dunno... But with this card I participated in two blog challenges, my favorite, SPCC and a new challenge for me at the Mojo Monday Blog! Like always, I loveeee Sam's colors this week for SPCC # 25...and those of you who really know me, know that I absolutely LOVEEE kraft paper (hence why I created my wedding invites with kraft, teehehe), so I was moree than excited to use this color combo! Plus, I just got my new Dasher stamp in and I just HAD to use it! :)

Here is Sam's Combo:

And here is the Mojo Monday #114 Sketch:

And finally, here is what I created:

Card Size: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2

Supplies Needed:
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated!
Stamps: Dasher
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Handsome Hunter, Certainly Celery, Kraft, Very Vanilla
Tools: Eyelet Border Punch, 3-D Dimensionals, Heat Embosser
Accessories: Vanilla Embossing Powder, Certainly Celery (from SU Ribbon Bundle)

This card was super easy and sooo much fun to make! Comments always welcome! hehehe
Enjoy!

As always, the list of supplies needed follows each. :)

12 Weeks of Christmas -- Week 6

Happy Saturday Everyone!

I know I'm a WAYYY late with this, but here is the 12 Weeks of Christmas--Week 6 post! It's another very cute Christmas Ornament. I also used Stampin' Up! Word Flurries Rub-os again. And used a plain glass ornament that I bougth at Michaels. This time I cut a bunch of 2 inch gold ribbon strips and put those inside. And if you look closely there are gold sequents/confetti-like stars inside, too!  All ribbon was bought at Michaels. What do you think?!

Keep an eye out for some more 12 Weeks of Christmas posts!

Friends Rock -- Birthday Party

So this past weekend I went to my cousin Sarah's MYO (Make-Your-Own) Sleepover.  She invited me so I decided that I would demonstrate a fun and girly 8x10 page using Stampin' Up's set Friends Rock. I didn't know what to expect with 5-eight and nine year olds, but we sure did have a blast! And I was soooo surprised to hear that a couple of the girls' mom's used Stampin' Up! Products! (And don't worry, I sent those girls home with the lovely 2009 Holiday Mini Catalog :))  Anyway, I came up with an easy and very basic layout for the girls to use, but of course they did their own thing! :) We added a black frame
(big enough to fit the 8x10) and some fun pictures (throughout the night) to use, and the girls loved it! They now have a keepsake they each created from Sarah's 9th Birthday MYO Sleepover!
 My Layout:

Layout Size: 8 x 10
Supplies Needed:
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated!
Stamps: Friends Rock
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo

Holiday Mail for Heroes

In this season of hope and giving, the American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes, Inc. have joined forces to invited Americans to "send a touch of home" to United States service members and veterans across the country and abroad. In its third year, the Holiday Mail for Heroes program is an opportunity to share joy and thanks with our service members throughout the holiday season by way of a greeting card.

Today over 1.4 million men and women serve in the U.S. armed forces and over over 24 million veterans have served in the past. The holiday season is the perfect time to honor and extend a warm holiday greeting to those who've served and continue to do so.

How Holiday Mail Works:
We have established an extensive process to ensure all cards sent to our service members are safe and arrive in time for the holidays. Holiday cards will be collected through a unique P.O. Box address from: Monday, November 2nd through Monday, December 7th.

Cards must be sent to this address:
Holiday Mail for Heroes
P.O. Box 5456
Capital Heights, MD 20791-5456

Every card received will be screened for hazardous materials by Pitney Bowes and distributed to participating Red Cross chapters nationwide. Once the cards arrive at the Red Cross chapters, they are sorted and reviewed by volunteers who then will distribute them to service members, their families and veterans in communites across the country.

Please consider making an extra holiday card or two and send them to a service man or woman!

Happy Crafting!
