Simple Boy Birthday Card

Hi Stampers!
If you know me, I'm all about simplicity. :) So having to make a boy birthday card was a must for my cousin's son, Devyn. And this is the creation I came up with:

Wouldn't this card look cute for a girl, too?! How about using some Melon Mambo, Wisteria Wonder, and So Saffron? Hmmm....I might just have to use those colors. I'll definitely lety you know what I come up with! :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

I know I know, I'm a day late...but its better late than never, right?!

I don't have much Valentine decor, so I decided to create a wreath to hang up in my house. I used a simple piece of light-weight cardboard and traced two different sized dinner plates to create the base of the wreath.

I then punched out about 60 large hearts and 10 small hearts, adheared them with adhesive, and added a ribbon and bow to finished it off. Simple, fun, and cute !:)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Good Morning!
Today's card was made with my wonderful father in mind and the only thing he asked for this year was a handmade card and for the family to go out to dinner. And that's exactly what we did. He is celebrating his 59th birthday today, and of course this is the card I made for him -- and he loved it! Happy Birthday Daddy...we love you so very much! :)

I've had theDelicate Doilies stamp set for awhile and really haven't inked it up much so my goal was to create a masculine card with it. I also used the super new and cute Twitterpated DSP Stampin' Up! has in the Occasions Mini Catalog. Love it! This card was very simple and quick to make, too.

Elf Feeties -- a month late...

Hello and Happy 'belated' Holidays!

It has been a few months since I have last posted to my blog, but I feel that January 1st is the best day to start a-new here! :) Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and New Years! I have been quite busy with the daily life tasks of being a wife, mother, and part-time worker and I haven't saved much time for myself to do the things that I like to do. I have done a few crafty things, but blogging just hasn't been the easiest of things to get to lately. I do apologize! :)

Have you made your New Year's Resolutions or Goals yet?? Anything interesting that you'd like to share? I just completed a list of mine....20 total, I should add. It contains a wide variety of things that I would like to accoomplish in 2012 -- from completing my Wedding Scrapbook to Buying a House! Yesssss.......I know...a bit crazy, but I feel like I can do it. :)

With that said, here I am typing away at one of my new resolutions/goals. I'll be back later this week to show you some crafty creations, but until then....here's a great picture of my lil Tayton and his first encouter with Santa. It was rather entertaining, I should say -- poor lil guy! :)

Hello All!
Hope you're all doing well out there! Just wanted to update all of you...

First off, I'd like to apologize for my lack blogging and crafting lately. June and July are my busy months here at the Sajkowicz house and crafty playtime is far and few. This weekend (June 25 & 26) we have our Relay-for-Life Cancer Event which takes place every year, and it put on by the American Cancer Society. My mom and I have started our own team about 8 years ago named Erin's Everlasting Butterflies, in memory of my older sister who passed away from cancer almost 12 years ago. We have been super busy fundraising and getting things together for our team. The link above will explain more! :)

Next, my hubby, son and I have planned on our first family vacation and camping trip next month, as well. We'll be heading to New Hampshire on July 10th for a week with some family and friends and we couldn't be more excited! We've been getting things ready for this too...cleaning out the camper, making plans, etc.

And like all of you, everyday life has caught up with me! lol I've been working two jobs and I'm extremely busy with them, too! Along with raising Tayton (who is now almost 7 months old -- where has the time gone?!) and trying to enjoy every little bit of time with him! Oh and did I mention that I am a Stampin' Up! demo!? Yeah...that business takes up some, too! lol

Phew!!! I'm sorry if I babbled on about nothing to you all, but I just wanted to let you know where I stand. I will indeed keep posting our weekly challenges at PPC for all of you to take part in, and if time permits, I will DEF get crafty, too!

And if I don't get to blog as often as I'd like, plea take care and have a safe and very fun summer!!! :)

SPCC #100 and Mojo Monday Sketch #191

I've had a bit of time to get crafty lately and it has been forever and a day since I particpated in some crafty challenges! So today, I bring you a card I created using the SPCC #100 and Mojo Monday Sketch #191.

The color combo from SPCC was different than my norm, but I just love how nice these colors look together! Sami from SPCC, will be giving the winner THREE SP and Company stamp sets! These are among some of my most popular stamp sets (and the brand new one released this month!!). AND the winner this week will also become one of her guest designers! How cool!

And the sketch from Mojo Monday was a blast to use, too!

My hubby got my the My Digital Studio software from Stampin' Up! for Christmas and I haven't really had too much time to play around with it...but today I certainly did! Thank goodness for those rainy day... :)

Here's what I came up with...

I could spend hours on the computer just creating new layouts...it was so much fun!!

I've been thinking...

WARNING -- this is a longgggg post! ;)

That's right...I've been thinking...A LOT lately...about my crafting and blogging and how I've been really slacking with the both of them!! Since having my lil guy, Tayton, things have settled down these past few weeks and months, may I add, and we've gotten on a some sort of a schedule. I've actually had some time to do some creating! The thing is, I create and get my craft-on, but I NEVER share/blog about it! I'm determined to get my crafty things blogged, my photography and Stampin' Up! businesses more active, and my name out there even more, AND apply for some Design Team positions! My goal is to now blog at least 3 days a week -- whether it be craft, business or family related. So if it seems like I'm slacking, yell at me...please! :)

I have also come to the conclusion that I have tons and tons and TONS of pictures that I NEED and WANT to get scrapbooked...so one of those 3 days that I want to blog, will be about a scrapbook page! I've really been into cardmaking a lot lately and haven't paid too much attention to my scrapbooks and the endless amounts of pictures and odds-n-ends that I want to scrap. I am now devoting my Thursday blogging days to my scrapbook layouts! I would love for you to join along in my challenge! :)

I'm not sure if you all remember this post, I seem to be going back to it every now and again to see what my goals were...and to say that I've made them over a year ago, kinda makes me sad and a little lazy and down-n-out. I had quite a few goals for 2010 and am very happy to say that I reached at least one of my creative goals, actually five of them (Re-organize My Creative Studio--errr I sorta did; More Blogging, Candy & Giveaways--I like to think I had quite a few this year!; Expand my Stampin' Up Business--got my first downline recruit in November; Photograph my Frst Wedding; and finally, Participate in my first Craft Fair)!

And somehow I got around to reaching 3 of my personal/family ones (Raise $200 for Relay for Life and Erin's Everlasting Butterflies Team; Become more organized; Reconnect with family and friends, near and far! :) and I'm not sure if you wanna say that this was completed or not, but we did decide not to breed Meisha...soo errr, maybe thats four things?? lol I dunno) But then, I must add in, my husband and I received the greatest blessing anyone could ask for...a VERY healthy, happy and handsome baby boy! :)

So yeah, life has been crazy lately and I love it and I'm DEF not complaining!!! But it's time to get things back in order. I work 2 days a week doing my graphic design and I'm back at the restaurant for another 2 days. That leaves me 3 days off with LOTS of LIFE-type-of-things to do (ie. being a mother, cooking, cleaning, etc..., you know the usual). But like I said, I am determind to keep this blog, as well as my Picture Perfect Creations--Crafty Challenges, still up and running! And let me just tell you, that I absolutely LOVEEE all of my blogging friends here and my ladies at PPC-CC. I don't know where the I or the blog would be without them. I am so very thankful for all of the new partipants we're getting these past few weeks, as well! You're all the best!

Ok...thanks for letting me 'vent'. Please stay tuned here at PPC where I hope to bring you more of my crafty creations, ideas and daily ramblings of my crazy LIFE! :) And don't forget, every Thursday will be a scrapbook page/layout sharing day...and I invite you to take on the same challenge! :) (hmmm...have you noticed that this post is my 4th one already this week!? I'm starting off on a good note, too! hehehe).

Sajkowicz Easter 2011

I'm gonna share some of our Easter pictures with you! And I'm not going to break my promise...you should be SO very proud of me! :) Sorry its a few days late tho...

Our little Easter bunny and believe it or not, he really didn't mind these ears on him! lol

And here's Tayton with his best friend and cousin, Camerin....sooo cute! :)

And finally, the Easter Basket and gift my hubby made for me...isn't he just so talented?! lol I LOVEEE it! I'm not sure if he can beat this, but he better try hard next week, as it is Mother's Day...and my first one at that! hahaha

Here is the card that Tim made, too. Notice the rabbit's hands and feet?? -- they're Tayton's!!! So cute and veryyyy creative! :) I throughly enjoy receiving these type of gifts each holiday...they're all definitely something worth looking froward too!

SP Design Team Call

I've really been wanting to branch out a bit with my crafty creations, so when I saw the DT call over at SPCC/SP & Company Stamps, I knew I just had to apply! The last day to apply is today, so be sure to get there and do it...I know, I know...I wait till the last minute! ;)

Welp, its that time of week again -- Happy 'Manic' Monday! Although, I like to say my Monday's are very rarely manic. :) I seem to be enjoying them more and more lately, now that I have the day off! The day starts with some cleaning and exercise then coffee, blogging, and Tayton time! Not too shabby, eh??! The only downfall, is that I'm off to work Tuesday and Wednesdays. PPC-CC Specialty Challenge #5: "Show Us Your Creative Space!"

Well hello my friends! This week's challenge at PPC is another Specialty Challenge for us and we're throwing a bit of a twist on it. Instead of make something crafty, you must ''Show Us Your Creative Space!"

We all absolutely LOVE to see where everyone likes to get crafty! There are so many different "spaces" out there and a lot of neat and funky ideas for storage, and space, and organization!

Before I show you my Creative Stuido, let me just explain a few things first...My space is my old bedroom as a teenager in my parent's house...notice the bright colors?! lol Guhh! I HATE the color pink now and would do anything to change it, but won't at this time anyway. haha I am currently living in my parent's in-law apartment and they were so VERY nice to allow me to keep that room for all of my crafty things. And let me tell you that I am ecstatic about it! There would be NO room for the amount of crafty stuff I have in my apartment!! Also, there are a few other 'junk' related type things in the room, like some of my stuff from when I was younger that I really don't have room for in my apartment, either. And you may notice Tayton's pack-n-play in there, as well. :) He like to keep me company when I get crafty...but shh! please don't tell his daddy that! hehehe I was hoping to get more cleaning done this past weekend, but the stomach bug hit us all here and we're just getting over. Sorry for the clutter and mess...this is the best you're gonna get now! lol

So without further ado, here is my Creative Studio! ENJOY!!! :)

Here is where I do my blogging, of course! :) I also store all of my Stampin' Up! Cardstock and Ribbons here with a few other odds and ends. The wooden table, paper organizer, ribbon holders and shelves were all made by my wonderful hubby, Tim! :)

This is were my Big Shot and Cricut Die-Cutting Machines are kept and the drawers hold paper scraps and whatnot. Above that is my ink holder and to the right is my bulletin board with a few of my favorite creations.

My Stampin Up! wooden stamp storage...

And lastly, this is were I create and get crafty!!! :) I have all of my punches at hand for me, and my paper-cutter is off to the right-side of the table (not shown). All of my clear mount stamps and a few more punches are stored in the wooden box on the wall. Big thanks to my hubby for making that for me, too! :)

We have some VERY exciting events coming up in the next few weeks over at Picture Perfect Creations!!! Tuesday, Feb. 22nd marks our 1 Year Anniversary--woohooo!!! Where has the time flown?! Hi Friends!
Sorry it's been awhile...I'm back and ready to get crafty again! (That's only if time permits.) But life has been a bit busy but absolutely great lately with our new lil bundle of joy! He's already 7 weeks old! Here's a few pics of my lil' man, Tayton...sorry I just HAVE to show him off! hehehe

I have a Stamipn' Up! Workshop tomorrow, so I'm off to get a bit crafty today. Here's hoping to getting a few things created so that I can share with you!

Tayton Timothy has FINALLY arrived!

Hey Blogging Buddies!
Sooo sorry to leave you all hanging, as I'm just now getting a bit of 'me' time in. So the day finally came and my little bundle of joy has arrived! :) :) My water broke at 6am on Monday the 22nd and after 38 hours of rough labor with 1 hour pushing, Tayton Timothy Sajkowicz arrived via emergency c-section on Nov. 23rd! He weighed 6lbs 5oz and was 19.5 inches long...just a lil peanut! :) We both finally got to go home from the hospital last Friday. We are both doing very well and we're all adjusting just fine to this new family of ours. I can't believe my lil bugga-boo is already 10 days old! I attached a few pictures of my handsome lil guy for you to enjoy! :)

Hello Bloggers!
Sorry for the lack of blogging lately...as usual, things are hectic here at the Sajkowicz house and with the coming of 'Baby Sajk', I really DON'T have ANY energy or motivation to do anything. I'm approaching 38 weeks pregnant and I couldn't be more exhausted and uncomfortable, but yet extremely excited and ready to meet my baby boy! :) So my truest apologies for not being so active in the blogging world...I'm hoping things will get better once the baby comes and I have some time off from work, but I suppose we shall see. I've been told that I won't have any more time for myself, but I WANT to make time for myself to get crafty, even if it is only an hour a day...who knows though! Any advice how to balance my time is always welcome! :)

We have Mason (right) and Meisha (left), my two very loveable St. Bernards just chillin' on the sidewalk in front of our house. Aren't they just the cutest pups you've ever seen?!?! If I don't say so myself! hehehe Gotta love these gentle giants! :)

So what are your plans for the weekend? Tonight I'm thinking about getting crafty, since I actually have the motivation to do something! hahaha Then on Saturday night, the hottie hubs and I spending time at my cousin's house for her housewarming party and on Sunday we're taking a trip to Babies 'R Us to pick up some last minute things for our little bug-a-boo! I can't believe he'll be here in less than 5 weeks! Time sure has flown by!!! :)

So sorry for the lack of posting lately! Things have been hectic here at the Sajkowicz house with the coming of our lil guy in 6 weeks or so! Ahhh...can't believe it has gone by so fast! We've been super busy preparing for him...getting his crib built, organizing all of his new things, etc. So with all of this, my crafting has been put on the back burner...But I didn't forget about our weekly color combo challenge at PPC!

I've got a different type of crafty post to share with you today...

I was at Wally-World (Wal-mart) the other day and was walking through the floral department when I decided that I wanted to make my own Fall Wreath for my front door! I bought a a grapevine wreath, sunflower bouquet, spool of matching wired ribbon, and from home added some scattered throw-type leaves. I just LOVE how it came out! It was sooo quick and easy, plus cost me less than $10 to make!

12 Weeks of Halloween -- Week 6

Hi Crafters!
Here's another Week 6 of our 12 Weeks of Halloween series. I made these little wooden holders that I purchased from Michael's, for the last Craft Fair and they were a big hit! I painted all of them with black acrylic paint and then filled them with crinkle paper, a Halloween pencil, a pixie stix (which I added a little stamp to the top of each), candy corn and kit kats! Perfect little gifts for the kids, teachers, coworkers, friends, etc! Enjoy!

Lego Birthday Card

We have another family Birthday this month and it belongs to my cousin Mike's son, Cade. He turns 8 on Friday (Sept. 17th), but Sunday is his party. Lately, Cade is really into building anything with Legos and is always showing me a new creation whenever I go to visit. While I was blog surfing the other day, I came across this super cute and VERY easy Lego card to make! I CASE'd (Copy And Steal Everything) this card from Lorri Heiling at Confessions of a Stamping Addict.

Hi Everyone!
I have 2 challenges that I participated in today. First challenge is from 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge blog and this weeks challenge consisted of colors...my fave!

The colors they chose this week are so bright and cheerful! It really got the wheels turning in my head...lol The second challenge is from Tuesday Morning Sketches #59...this is a new blog that I came across while blog surfing the other day. So this will be my first entry to their challenges. I also decided to ink up the new Birthday Bakery Level 1 Hostess set that I haven't used yet. (Want to get it for FREE?? Host a Stampin' Up! Anyway, I decided to make a Birthday card for my sister, Sam, who turns 24 on Saturday. She'll prob see this post before then, but I just had to do it! She is due a few days after me on December 7th. And I'm going to have a niece! Yayy! I am sooo excited to have our babies (the cousins) grow up together! Our First Anniversary!

Sorry friends, no crafty post today.

One year ago today (Sept. 12), I married the love of my life, my best friend, my soulmate. It's mine and Tim's Wedding Anniversary! I just wanted to gush out some love and emotions to him, even though he barely EVER reads my blog! But Tim, you have given me the best year of my life so far and the greatest gift yet to come! Thank you for all the love, laughter, friendship, honesty, and yes, even the tears. It's the best thing a wife could ask for! :) I love you so much today and tomorrow will be even more! You mean the world to me and I am so thankful I found someone like you to share my life with! xoxoxoxo

First Craft Fair Update!

So remember this post when I mentioned the Craft Fair I was busy getting crafty for?! Well it came and went this past Sunday, Sept. 5th...and I must say it went fairly well! :) All of my Halloween goodies SOLD! And my altered Compostion Notebooks and jumbo paperclip bookmarks were also popular. Here are just a few pictures from it. Lighting isn't the greatest, but I wanted to make sure I snapped a few of them before I sold anything! lol

I have decided to partipate in another Craft Fair at my church on Saturday, October 2nd, so now I am super busy again getting things ready for that one! Making all those Halloween things that were sold, as well as some new Christmas things! I promise to share. The rest of my Halloween things will be featured in my upcoming 12 Weeks of Halloween posts.

Onto to other things...Happy Weekend to All! :) This is the first weekend in a few that I don't have to work both of my jobs! Yayyy! (Last Saturday was my last day at the restaurant...waiting on tables and waddling around at 7 months pregnant isn't easy! lol) So do we have anything fun planned? The hottie hubs and I are celebrating our First Wedding Anniversary on Sunday (Sept. 12th) so we'll be spending as much time as we can together this weekend. He has something planned for us, but won't tell me where, when or what. I can't wait to find out. but I'll let you all know when I do! teehehehe

12 Weeks of Halloween -- Week 5

Today I bring you Week 5 of our 12 Weeks of Halloween Series. I made these super cute M&M Candy Holders for the Craft Fair I recently had and sold them all! They were super simple to make. I got the instructions from a video at Chic 'n Scratch. The picture below was also taken at the Craft Fair. I wish I had more pictures to show you, but I completely forgot to take ones of the holders open and whatnot. I will be making more soon so hopefully then I won't forget to take more. :)

The color combo this week over at PPC-CC was quite challenging for me...funny because I was the one that created it! lol

The inspiration from these 3x3 Mini Cards may look a bit familar to you Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, as I CASE'd this from the August 2010 issue of Stampin' Success. (They are shown on the cover). :) If you look closely, you can see that I used the 'kissing' technique with the hearts. Super fun, but can be a bit messy!

Photography -- Legary Wedding 07.17.10

As some of you may already know, I am a huge fan of photography. I studied digital and video photography in Europe for 4 weeks back in college, and it really sparked my passion and love for it! Since then, I have decided to go back to school and take online courses for my Diploma in Photography at PennFoster. I have dabbled here and there with it, but decided to take the plunge into bigger and better things when I got the offer last summer, to photograph my first wedding on July 17th! I was so honored! The wedding was for a good friend of the family and I couldn't have been more excited to be a part of it! Liz and Kyle Legary are two very amazing people! I am hoping my experience with this will open more doors for me in the photography field. So here's a little preview...

Happy Friday Blogging Friends!!

Can't believe it's Friday already...where has the week gone?! I'm definitely NOT complaining though. I live for my weekends, as I'm sure a lot of you do, as well! lol

Wanted to share another card with you. I finally opened my Stampin' Up! Greenhouse Gala DSP and I seem to love it more and more each time I use it! I also used a few different types of punches. The layout was CASE'd from someone here in blogland...sorry I can't remember who! Hope you like it though!

Any fun plans for the weekend? Not too much going on here at the Sajkowicz house. Just working at the restaurant tomorrow day and then off to the Brooklyn Fair tomorrow night. But besides that, I'll be home and working on some crafty things for my first Craft Fair!

12 Weeks of Halloween -- Week 3...and a SU! Preview!

Sorry for the late post today! I've been super busy working on a 30 card Stampin' Up! Demo SWAP, as well as my baby shower invites, AND getting stuff ready for my first Craft Fair in a week in a half! Phewww! That's a lot of crafting goin' on! :) And yes, I did decide to partipate in this fair...it's nothing big, but I am super excited about it. I don't have much time to prepare, but I'm workin my booty off! lol Anyone have advice for me as for what sells, pricing, etc?! Anything is much appreciated at this time.

Ok enough about me and onto our Week 3 of our 12 Weeks of Halloween. I have another card to share with you and it also includes some NEW Stampin' Up! Goodies from the NEW 2010 Holiday Mini that goes live on September 1st! I am super-duper excited about it! There are some really fabulous things in this one...the Spider Web Embossing Folder, used on the basic black cardstock, is a new product! LOVE it!

Baby Sajk Scrapbook Layout

I have a quick 12x12 layout for you today. And as you all know, we are expecting our first baby (Baby Sajk)...soooooo when we got our first ultrasound picture I just had to scrapbook it! Supplies are varied throughout, as I used some Stampin' Up Cardstock and the heart border punch, Thickers, and Making Memories glitter chipboard letters. Hope you like it!

Don't worry, they'll be plenty more pre-baby layouts I'll be sharing with you!
