A little bit of this and that...

No project to share with you today, but just wanted to give you all an update on what's going on here and at our PPC Challenge Blog...
  1. No Paper/Product Buying Challenge...How is everyone doing with their part of the challenge? Is it keeping you busy? Are you making your goals? Many of you have asked for a button to display on your blogs, so with that said I have been busy trying to put something together for you! I will let you know when it is ready soon! For my part of the challenge, as you can tell in my rightside bar with my tracking numbers, I'm doing fairly good with it, but wish I was doing better. I want to know how you're doing! Leave me a comment below.
  2. Blog-o-Versery Candy...Are you entered to win my Blog-o-Versery Candy?!? The deadline is Sunday, Sept. 5th, 10am EST to enter! Winners will be posted on Monday, Sept. 6th. You have 2 chances to win, PLUS, if my blog surpasses 100 followers before September 5th, I will add a third prize winner! :)
  3. PPC-CC Guest Designer Call...Have you applied to be a Guest Designer for our PPC Challenge Blog? We are looking for three designers, one for September, October, and November. For specifics on how to apply, click here. Candidates must apply by Sunday, August 29th, 10pm EST.
  4. Craft Fair Season...I have stated earlier this year and in my 2010 Goals that I wanted to partipate in a craft fair of some sort this year. Welllll...I have the opportunity to do so on Sunday, Sept. 5th, here in my hometown. But I need your advice here...that gives me less than two weeks to get extra crafty and prepared...do you think I'll have enough time or am I just crazy for even considering this fair, since it is kinda last minute. Have any of you partipated in a town craft fair? How did it go? What did you do to prepare? HELPPP! I need to decide within the next 24 hours...
I think that about covers it for now. Feel free to email me if you have any questions, comments, etc. I would love to hear from you!
Until tomorrow my friends...

That 'nesting' stage...

Not sure if you've all noticed, but I've been on a blogging role here at Picture Perfect Creations! I think I've blogged everyday for the past ten days...now thats a record ladies and gentleman! lol And I plan on continuting with the streak, too! It must be that 'nesting' stage everyone talks about...

Speaking of the 'nesting' stage, just wanted fill all of you in on some really exciting news!!! As some of you may already know and you can obviously tell my the countdown ticker above, my husband and I are expecting our first child...a handsome little boy! And we couldn't be more excited about it! Our due date is actually on Thanksgiving (November 25th). Baby Sajk (short for our last name, Sajkowicz) is healthy and doing great, as well as myself, if anyone cares to know. :) Right now I'm 25 weeks along. We do have a name picked out but we're not sure if we want to share it with the world quite yet, even though we've already told a lucky few of you.

Here's a few pictures of the hottie hubs and I. They were taken about 5 weeks ago, so now I'm even bigger, but I just don't have any updated pics to post yet.  Hope you like them!

I also wanted to chat about the future here at PPC and PPC-CC...so as long as I am alive and healthy, and so isn't my new little family, I will continue to blog my crafty creations, as well as post our weekly color combos, DT submissions, prizes, and more. Once Baby Sajk comes along, I plan on working in the office doing my graphic/technical design for 2 days and then from home another 2 days or so a week. I am also considering going back to the restaurant a day or 2, as well. (Not really sure about that yet) I'm just hoping all of this will allow me the time to continue to craft and share it all with you, raise a child/family with 2 st. bernards (lol), work on my Stampin' Up! and photography businesses (I will chat more about the photography business soon), help with the hubby's landscaping business, AND have a life! I guess we shall see, huh? How do all of you moms do it out there?? Advice is always welcome! :)  I'm very excited, but also so anxious and nervous about it all! I've always been a busy, busy person...just hoping I can keep up with it all now. Oh and did I mention that I've been crafting away with all the invites, favors, etc for my baby shower? In addtion, we have our 11th Annual Erin B. Lugauskas Memoral Scholarship Benefit Dance coming up on November 6th. Oh and you just can't forget about the holidays...looks like the rest of 2010 will be flying by for me!!!

Phewww...I'm out of breath! I think that's about it for now...sorry for the long post, but thanks if you've gotten this far! We're waiting on my mother-in-law to come by with some pizza tonight...yummm! Have a great evening!

Graduation Card - Punch Art

I needed a graduation card for my very good friend's little brother who was graduating from high school. Corey and I have known each other since we were nine or ten years old, and that's when her brother, Nik, was born...almost 18 years ago. It's crazy how time has flown! Nik has grown into a wonderful young man who is awesome at playing baseball and he did get a scholarship to play in college! He's like a little brother to me! So to this day, I still keep in contact with Corey and the rest of her family. They're all so amazing!
Anyway, onto the card....
The Plainfield High School colors are orange and black so I had to make a card with those colors. I CASE'd this card from somewhere on Stampin' Connection, but I just can't remember who's it was. So sorry about that! The supplies are listed below.

----------------------------------------------------------
Card Size: 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated.
Stamps: Congrats (AMuse)
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Basic Black, Whisper White Craft Ink
Tools: 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Cricut with George Cartridge, daubing sponge (sponged shadow on cap), Big Shot, Square Lattice Embossing Folder
Accessories: 1/8" Black Satin Ribbon (don't know company name), 1/8" White Satin Ribbon (don't know company name), orange brad (don't know company name)
----------------------------------------------------------

This post also counts as a project for my No Paper/Product Buying Challenge.

We're off to our birthing/maternity class today and a birthday party for a two year old. I'm sure I'll chat more about it soon! :)

A Wedding Card

Hiya Friends!
The card I am sharing today was made for a great couple, Julie & Mike...who are actually getting married today! I CASE'd it from Andrea Walford, but of course changed some things around to make it my own. I used the new Elegant Soiree DSP from the new 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog. This card would also be great for any Anniversary...and speaking of Anniversaries, mine and the hubs are coming up on our one year soon (Sept. 12th!). Any ideas on what to get him?? Hmmm...

Anyway, hope you like it!

----------------------------------------------------------
Card Size: 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated.
Stamps: Occasional Quotes
Paper: Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Elegant Soiree DSP
Ink: Soft Suede
Tools: 3D-Dimensionals, Cricut (Used to cut out my 4 inch circle, which I cut in half)
Accessories: 1/8" Very Vanilla Taffetta Ribbon
----------------------------------------------------------

So it's Friday already...anyone have any fun plans? The hubs and I are taking an 8-hour birthing/maternity class tomorrow...should be an interesting one! But none-the-less, very informative. We're kinda excited about it! lol We'll also be attending a birthday party for my cousins's little one Brenna, who is turning two. And as for Sunday, I have to work at the restaurant and I'm sure Tim will be doing something pertaining to our landscaping business and work. Hope everyone has a great Friday and an even better weekend! Chat soon!

This card is also part of my No Paper/Product Buying Challenge. :)

No Paper/Product Buying Challenge!!!

So what is the No Paper/Product Buying Challenge?!?

My good blogging friend, Allison & I have come to the conclusion that we have WAY TOO MUCH paper and not enough projects made! So we are bringing this challenge onto, not only ourselves, but you talented crafters, as well! It's for anyone open to a BIG challenge! Are you in?!

The Challenge: Complete 100 Crafty Projects (beginning August 1, 2010) before you're allowed to buy any paper/tools/accessories! But how can you resist that beautiful Fall paperstack, you ask?! It'll be worth it...I promise you! It's like a support group for those of us not allowed to buy paper! lol It also gives us a really good excuse to allow more time to get crafty and to do what we love! :)

And of course, with every challenge, there are rules...

Challenge Rules:
  1. 50 of the projects must be posted (and within that post, must state that you are partipating in the challenge).
  2. Participants are allowed cosumable items (ie. adhesive, glue dots, taper runner refills, etc.)
  3. Participants must keep track of their own number of projects made. Their Project Challenge Tracker must be displayed and updated regularly on their blog. (The sidebar works good for this. See mine on the right for an example).
  4. Please be truthful with your numbers. We are using the honor system here.
Prizes:
There are TWO great chances to win a prize! Allison and I will each be giving away something!  Details and actual prizes will be provided soon.

Let's use our 'Support System' and keep each other ON track with NO cheating!

Any questions, comments, etc? Please send them my way (stampinmegs@hotmail.com). Or leave one here...I'd love to hear what you have to say!

Also, Allison and I have also decided to see how much patterened paper we can use up, too! We all know that each of us has a 'Paper Hoarder' in them, so why keep it stashed?! USE IT UP!!! And we figured that in the end, we get reward ourselves for all of our hard work. Allison has said that for every 5 sheets of patterned paper she uses, she is allowed to buy 1 sheet. Therefore, if she want to buy a pack of paper that has 12 sheets, she needs to use up 60 from her stash...get it? At this time, I'm really not sure what my reward will be in the end...I'm just set on using up that stashed paper of mine! Once I think of something, I'll be sure to inform you all. hehehe :)

So what are you waiting for?! It's time to get craftyyyyy! And don't forget to spread the word! :)
