Stampin' Up!'s Color Renovation for 2010

Are you ready for an exciting announcement?

Come July 1, with the release of the 2010 - 2011 Idea Book & Catalog, Stampin' Up! will roll out a new Color Collection.

The new color collection combines current colors with previous In Colors and introduces five brand new colors. This palette will give you new and vibrant choices, keeping your papercrafting passion original and exciting.
Some old favorites will be new again ... some BRAND new colors will be released and we'll say goodbye to others.

Here's the line up of Color Collections
  • Brights
  • Subtles
  • Regals
  • Neutrals
  • Getting Started
Click on the following links and print the New Color Collection and Fond Farewell Colors.

Keep scrolling down for some Q&A ... and as always, please feel free to email me with any questions you may have about this change or anything related to Stampin' Up!

I'm excited and embrace this change with open arms. Change can be scary, but I hope that you'll take this opportunity to stock up on any of your favorite colors in the Fond Farewell selection.

Questions & Answers

Q: Why are so many colors being discontinued?
A: Stampin' Up! retired colors based on sales history and focus group feedback. Sales on many colors were very low, Stampin' Up! was careful to choose the most popular and up-to-date colors.
Another reason they reduced the number of colors is that they wanted the collections to be less overwhelming to new Demonstrators and customers.

NOTE: In addition to the core 40 colors, Stampin' Up! will have 5 new In Colors each year, and In Colors will have a lifespan of two years instead of one. That means after the first year, there will be 10 additional colors to mix & match, for a total of 50 colors.

Q: Are there card stocks outside of the four color collections retiring?
A: Stampin' Up! will continue to offer the following: Brushed Gold, Brushed Silver, Confetti Cream, Confetti White, Glossy White, Naturals Ivory, Naturals White, Shimmery White, and White Vellum card stock and White Vellum paper.

Q: What are the new core colors, and what are the In Colors that are returning as core colors?
A: 5 new colors are called Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Cajun Craze, and Cherry Cobbler. The 10 returning In Colors as core colors are Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, River Rock, Soft Suede, Riding Hood Red, Rich Razzleberry, Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette, and Baja Breeze. Kraft has also been renamed to Crumb Cake, and it is a core color in the Neutrals collection.

Q: Will I need a new Color Caddy?
A: No, the existing Color Caddy will hold all of the 40 core colors and up to 8 additional Stampin' Pads. After this year, you can still fit all of the In Colors with the extender kit.

Q: Will colors be retired in My Digital Studio?
A: Stampin' Up! does not retire colors or products from My Digital Studio. All retiring colors will stay in your color pallate.

My apologies...

Hi All!
Hope everyone is doing well out there! Sorry I haven't been so active in blogging here lately...I've got a lot on my plate! All good things though! :)

A new chapter of my life has now opened...my wonderful hubby and I just found out a couple weeks ago that we're expecting our first litte bundle of joy! We're sooo very excited! Our little one is due on Thanksgiving (Nov. 25th). I'm ecstatic to see what the next seven months will bring...let alone 'lifetime' as being parent! :)

So I finally got enough motivation and energy to do some crafting on Monday and when I walk into my Creative Studio...this is what I see:

...a completely TRASHED work space. And I blame it all on myself! :( BUT I did organize and clean it and finally got a few cards made. Yippiee! :) I will share soon!
Have a great Hump Day!
